Create Plaid Patterns with the Gelli Arts® Holiday Card Printing Kit by Marsha Valk

Hi there! It’s Marsha here today, sharing how to create colorful plaid patterns for your holiday cards and fall/winter projects!

In the video, I’m using the new limited holiday edition of the Gelli Arts® Card Printing Kit.

It’s filled to the brim with everything you need to start gel printing: a 5″x5″ Gelli Arts® gel printing plate, 4″ roller, three bottles of paint, a Gelli Arts® Mini Printing Tool, two stencils, eyelash yarn, punchinella and bubble wrap as well as an assortment of surfaces to print on!

Check it out:

I used masking and washi tape in various widths to create the plaid patterns. You do not have to use a new tape for every new layer. If you let the paint on the tape dry between pulls, you can reuse it until it no longer sticks.

Keep adding layers until you’re happy with the result! And remember that it’s always possible to transform and elevate a print afterwards with colored pencils, crayons or markers.

Plaid patterned gel prints look fantastic on their own and are fun to combine for a warm and cozy holiday card or project.

Have fun creating your own plaid patterns! And don’t forget to share your prints with us using #gelliarts. We’d love to see what you make!

Marsha.
