Gel Printing with Silhouettes with Gelli Arts® by Birgit Koopsen

Hello and welcome to the Gelli Arts® blog!

In my last post of the year I’m sharing how I create silhouettes and print with them.

Silhouettes are easy to create with magazine images and acetate sheets. Simply trace figures using a permanent marker and cut them out.

And of course you don’t have to stick to people. You can also get great effects with animal shapes.

Tip: You get the best silhouettes when you make sure that there is room between arms/legs and the body. Also make sure you can see head and neck. Long hair going over the shoulders does not give a nice silhouette. As you can see in the video it’s quite easy to adjust an image with long hair to short hair.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy printing and happy holidays!!

See you again next year 🙂
