Hello! Mariví here today, sharing my project in collaboration with Gelli Arts® and products by Jane Davenport for Spellbinders.
Today we are going to do a beautiful flower background, a nice mix media project.
You can then frame it, use for decoration or simply for the pleasure of drawing 🙂
Watch my video below for a step by step:
I will use the 8×10” Gelli® plate, cardstock and Palette pastels from Jane Davenport.
With a marker, I draw flowers and leaves of
different shapes and sizes on the Gelli® plate.
You can use paint markers or acrylic paint to color in the
flowers.
I am going to color in the flowers with the
palette pastels and a stick and a sponge for the larger areas.
Once the drawing is colored, I apply a layer
of Decoart matte medium over the Gelli® plate, and spread it with the roller. Then I
put the cardstock on top, and press well so that the drawing is transferred.
Now lift your print!
With a black marker, I’m going to go over the
black lines to give them more definition.
With a white paint marker, I am highlighting
some areas of the flowers and leaves.
And you’re done! I hope
you liked my tutorial. Thank you to Spellbinders for this awesome collaboration!
