Hello! Mariví here. Using a recycled can, card stock, some skewer sticks and paint, I made this beautiful up-cycled flower vase. This super cheerful vase is a perfect decoration for any corner of your house.
Follow along for a step by step:
To decorate the paper, I used some different textures on my Gelli® plate to pull some prints.
For the flowers, I made blue, yellow and red prints.
I made a yellow and green print for the leaves.
I cut the blue and yellow prints into strips about 4 centimeters wide, and cut small fringes in them along the length.
Using the green prints, I cut leaves of different sizes with serrated edged scissors.
I then painted the can with black chalk paint and glued the empty space with my blue prints.
I cut 8 skewer sticks to different sizes, so that the flowers are not all of the same height, and I painted them with green chalk paint.
Now, I just have to paste all the elements and form the flowers.. At the tip of the sticks, I roll up the fringed strips, and glued them with hot glue. I stuck 2-3 leaves on each stem.
And now you’re done!
