3 Projects with the Gelli Arts® DIY Kits by Helen O’Hara

Hello! It’s Helen here to share with you some projects done with the fabulous DIY Kits from Gelli Arts®. These kits come with everything you need to start printing; including a gel plate, a brayer and paint. They make a great gift, especially for kids.

All of the instructions to get started are in the kit, but once you’ve got the hang of printing you can use the kit in countless ways- take a look at the many blog posts on this Gelli Arts® blog for inspiration.

Here are 3 quick ways I have added my own slant to these DIY projects.

Animal Cards:

In this video, I show an easy technique for transferring a motif to a print ready to cut out for a collage. I’m using the motif from the DIY Gel Animals Kit, but you could use any picture or photograph you like.

Mini Tag Book:

You could print hundreds of mini tags with the DIY Printmaking Starter Kit, but what to do with them? I made this mini tag book by binding these tags together with post binding findings available in scrapbook stores.

Easy Cactus Bookmarks:

If your kids are like mine, then you always need bookmarks. I used the DIY Cacti Garden Kit to make these. It’s super easy, even kids could make their own.

I hope you find some inspiration from these ideas! Please share with us the ways you use the DIY Kits by tagging us @Gelliarts and #gelliarts !
