Collage Heart Holiday Gifts with Gelli Arts® by Mary Beggs Bosley

Hi there! Mary here today, sharing some fun holiday gift ideas you can make using your Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate!

Create gel printed collage hearts to adhere to wood panel shelf sitters (with an optional inspirational message), wood slice ornaments and journals.

Prep wood panel (and wood ornament) with gesso. Once dry, paint sides of panel with your color choice of acrylic paint.

I’m using 4 different Gelli Arts®️ stencils for a dynamic look. There are many more to choose from in the online store!

Create at least 4 prints using a 5×7 plate or larger with your stencils and a variety of acrylic paint colors with your choice of paper. I’m using printer paper.

Trim one of your prints to fit your wood panel and adhere with Mod Podge. Using your other prints, cut up into different shapes and sizes and glue to a piece of cardstock (same size as your panel).

With a heart stencil (homemade or purchased) trace a heart and cut it out. Adhere this to your print with Gloss Mod Podge and brush on top to protect and add a varnish. Add to sides of panel as well.

Add a special message with some inspirational quote stickers using a little more added Gloss Mod Podge. A perfect gift to add some color and encouragement for the recipient to put on a desk, shelf or bedside table!!!
