Gelli Arts® Gel Printing With LEGO Texture Plates by Marsha Valk

Hi there! It’s Marsha here today, sharing a fun way to create personal and creative texture plates for gel plate printing using LEGO tiles!

Please note that in the video, I’m using LEGO pieces I purchased specifically for printmaking.

I do not recommend using heirloom pieces or tiles from a cherished building set.

Acrylic paint and inks can stain your LEGO pieces, and abrasive cleaning will damage them.

If you have to clean your LEGO afterwards, soak it in lukewarm, soapy water and gently wipe away the paint remnants.

The tiles I use in the video are from the LEGO Dots series. LEGO is discontinuing this series, and I was able to purchase a couple of sets on sale.

Happy texture plate building!

Marsha.

Lovely projects! I have ordered some dots to try myself. I have two questions, firstly which dot sets did you buy and secondly how did you cut your Lego plate down please? Thank you!
