Hello everyone, Giovanna here! In this blog, I show you how to make a set of prints, perfect to frame, using neon colors, and featuring bold florals. Neon paints are very fashionable right now. They are usually transparent, so thy are suitable for multi-layered prints.
You can easily make simple shape masks at home to add interest to your prints: circle, square, triangle masks made out of craft plastic, acetate or even copy paper like I did!
When your prints are ready to frame, these usually require some matting (or not, especially if you use the Perfect Placement Tool) and, very important, your signature! Sign the print at the bottom right hand corner below the print, the edition number on the bottom left hand corner and the title, if any, in the center.

Step by step process:
-Spread a nice layer of paint on the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate with a brayer
-Add texture with a texture plate to add interest (I used a sink mat)
-Align the Gelli Arts® Perfect Placement Tool
-Pull a print on good cardstock
TIP: make a dot on the left corner of the cardstock’s back to align the paper on the same direction
-To create a second layer: brayer some contrasting colors on the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate
-Lay some masks on the plate such as circles, squares, triangles
-Align the Gelli Arts® Perfect Placement Tool
-Pull the print
-For the third layer spread an even layer of black acrylic paint
– Lay a floral mask or stencil on the plate
– ‘Clean’ the plate pressing a white page or copy paper
– Lift the mask
– Align the cardstock with the help of Gelli Arts® Perfect Placement Tool and pull the print
– Mat the print with black or white cardstock if needed
– Add signature, date, and title to the print

-White cardstock
-Neon acrylic paint
-Black acrylic paint
-Black cardstock for matting
