Tangling and Gel Printing with the Gelli Arts® Quatrefoil Mini Printing Plate by Marsha Valk

Hi there! It’s Marsha here. I don’t know about you, but in Europe, it seems everyone is in vacation mode. The sun is shining, the weather is hot, hot, hot and I’d personally rather take a sketchbook or journal outside than spend time in my sauna of a craft room.

A small gel printed booklet is ideal for crafting outside or on the go. You can make it small enough to fit in a pen pouch along with no more than two or three pens and pencils. That’s all you need to sketch, doodle or tangle! 

There’s no pressure- it doesn’t have to be perfect! It’s just something relaxing for you to do when you have a moment to yourself or whenever you feel like it.

In the video, you see me create an accordion- folded booklet. I chose to make it 9×9 cm, which is very close to 3.5″ x 3.5″. You can make the accordion any size you want, and you can easily adapt the length of the accordion to be shorter or longer. 

The Quatrefoil mini printing plate is part of the latest set of Gelli Arts® Mini Printing Plates. 

The set also includes an octagon and a diamond- shaped mini. This trio is perfect for creating lots of fun prints. 

When using cling rubber stamps as a mark maker for gel printing with acrylic paint, you need to be mindful of not letting any of the paint dry on your stamps, as that could ruin them. 

Try to wipe off any paint residue as soon as you can, or keep a bucket of water nearby to temporarily store your stamps until you can clean them properly.
