It’s Birgit here today with a new video.
I had actually planned something different for this blog, but after posting a picture of the following print on social media last week, there were several requests for a video showing how I created it. So here we go- you ask, I answer ☺
This technique is not difficult- but I know that when there are a lot of colors involved it can be scary because that could easily end up being one muddy mess, right?
So here are a few tips that might help you avoid getting mud.
When you look at a color wheel (google ☺) and place a straight line from one color to the color opposite of it, you find the so called complementary color. These colors give you the highest contrast when used together and work very well together if you love colorful prints.
However, if you mix them they will turn into mud.
So, to keep your colors bright and clean, avoid mixing those colors on the plate and only use colors that mix well.
Then, when you are at the second step of this technique you can throw in all those complementary colors and create beautiful and colorful prints.
