Create Seasons Greetings Cards with the New Gelli Arts® Card Printing Kit

Hi there! It’s Marsha here. Can you believe
there are only ~60 days left of 2017? Which means it’s time to think about
holiday greeting cards!


Let me inspire you by sharing five fun and
easy cards you can create with your kids using just the contents of the new Gelli
Arts® Card Printing Kit!


You can quickly adapt the images to your
taste and create any holiday card you need. You can also swap out the colours
and texture tools for other colors and textures for even more variety in the prints.



Star Card:



1. Take a foam sheet and draw a pattern on it with a ballpoint pen. Make
sure you give it lots of details!


2. Cut the silhouette of a star out of parchment paper.


3. Roll a drop of Sunbeam acrylic paint out on the 5”x5” Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.



4. Place a blank card on top and pull a print.


5. Roll a drop of Cosmic Blue acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.



6. Press the foam sheet into the paint to make impressions.



7. Place the silhouette of the star in the middle of the plate, on top of
the paint.



8. Make sure the fold of the card is facing to the right and pull a print.



9. Add outlines and details with a crayon or pen.




Ornament Card:


1. Take a foam sheet and draw a tree ornament onto it with a ballpoint
pen. Make sure you give it lots of details!



2. Cut out the tree ornament.



3. Trace it onto a square of parchment paper and cut out the silhouette.


4. Roll a drop of Chili Pepper acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.


5. Place the foam ornament stamp in the middle of the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate, on top of the paint.



6. Remove the red paint around the stamp by placing a parchment paper
square on top and press it down before pulling it up again.


7. Remove the foam ornament stamp.



8. Make sure the fold of a blank card is facing to the right and pull a
print.


9. Roll a drop of Cosmic Blue acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.



10. Place the parchment paper shape on top of the printed ornament on the
card and put them both on top of the paint and pull a print.



11. Add outlines and details with a crayon or pen.




Gift Card:


1. Cut the silhouette of a gift out of parchment paper.


2. Roll a drop of Sunbeam acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.



3. Cover the paint with punchinella.


4. Take a leftover square of parchment paper and pull a print.



5. Remove the punchinella and pull the ghost print onto a blank card.


6. Roll a drop of Chili Pepper acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.


7. Place the silhouette of the gift in the middle of the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate, on top of the paint.


8. Make sure the fold of the card is facing to the right and pull a print.


9. Cut two strips of Gelli Arts® gel printed parchment paper and a little
bow and adhere them on top of the printed gift image.



10. Add outlines and details with a crayon or pen.

Tree Card:



1. Fold a square of parchment in half and cut a stylized silhouette of a
pine tree out of the paper. Keep the negative part of the cut-out.


2. Roll a drop of Sunbeam acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.


3. Cover the paint with bubble wrap.


4. Remove the bubble wrap.



5. Take a blank card and pull a print.


6. Squeeze a drop of Sunbeam acrylic paint and a drop of Cosmic Blue
acrylic paint on the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate and mix them with the
brayer until you’ve covered the plate with lovely green color.



7. Place the silhouette of the tree in the middle of the plate, on top of
the paint.


8. Make sure the fold of the card is facing to the right and pull a print.



9. Cut a couple of small round shapes out of leftover Gelli Arts® Gel
Printed parchment paper and adhere them on top of the printed tree image.


10. Add outlines and details with a crayon or pen.




Poinsettia Card:


1. Cut the silhouette of a poinsettia out of parchment paper.


2. Roll a drop of Chili Pepper acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® gel printing
plate.



3. Drape yarn on top of the paint.



4. Place a blank card on top and pull a print.


5. Remove the yarn.


6. Roll a drop of Cosmic Blue acrylic paint out on the Gelli Arts® Gel
Printing plate.



7. Place the silhouette of the poinsettia in the middle of the plate, on
top of the paint.



8. Make sure the fold of the card is facing to the right and pull a print.



9. Cut a small poinsettia and a few little round shapes out of leftover
Gelli Arts® gel printed parchment paper and adhere them on top of the printed
poinsettia image.


10. Add outlines and details with a crayon or pen.



Stamp or write a greeting on the card and
you’ll have a couple of unique handmade holiday cards to send to your loved
ones!

    So many great techniques shown. You don't need a ton of supplies to create good things…. A quality Gelli plate and kit of paints, yarn and loads of paper can spark one's imagination. Turn off the tv,phone etc and create some prints! love my Gelli plates so much.

  3. If you're as lucky to get hold of embossed papers, or have a Sizzix/Cuttlebug die cutter/embosser- they really work great for making impressions in Gelli printing….any 'raised' patterned papers are quite efficient….

  4. I love this but Gelli should sell the 5” cards separately too since they are a non standard size. Anyone know where to find them?
